Description
Created for The Federal Pathological-Anatomical Museum in the Narrenturm of the Old General Hospital, "The Fool's Tower" is a historical introduction to the Vienna General Hospital, displaying selections of rare pathologies that the museum houses. This book is comprised of 231 color images, as well as an illustrated portion of the collection with 167 colorful illustrations. "The Fool's Tower" is part of a collection of books by Ernst Hausner that have become increasingly more difficult to find since going out of print in 1998. This volume features osteological and wet-preserved specimens from the Federal Pathological-Anatomical Museum in Vienna. The origins of this book are based on the real Fool's Tower that was constructed in 1784 by court architect Isidor Canevale. The cylindrical tower was the first asylum where the so-called insane were housed and treated, rather than being abused by relatives or put on display like animals. This 10”x10” volume features high-quality images from the museum’s collection with detailed written descriptions. Straight from the publishing house, this book is a highly sought-after volume that will be the perfect addition to any collection.

customer testimonials
I cannot say enough wonderful things about JonsBones & look forward to a lifetime relationship with them.
“I met Jon a little over a year ago and found him to be incredibly knowledgeable, communicative and super nice. Thus far I have purchased two skulls from him and more vertebra than I can count. His blogs on different topics in osteology are informative and I look forward to seeing the updates on his website when new products are added…”

customer testimonials
Reasonably priced and very good quality is a hard combination to beat!
I heard about Jonsbones at an advanced K9 HRD seminar so decided to give them a try. Jon offered personalized service that made the ordering process quick and simple. As for the quality of the training aids, all I can say is that even our beginner K9 had no issue in finding the correct location. I highly recommend Jonsbones as your go to place to get your bones from...
